‘First we eat, then we do everything else’ -M.F.K. Fisher.
I have never been disappointed by anything I eat in Italy. Pasta is my favourite, and I have had pasta, cooked in every sort of style in various parts of Italy – and they were all simply ‘delish’!
Guess you can easily figure it out from the name – Caffe Duomo is located next to the cathedral! Read more about the cathedral here. What a beautiful way to enjoy your meal. They have both outdoor and indoor seating.
The people at the restaurant were very welcoming and friendly – for a girl travelling solo from Asia having a meal by herself – that’s a big plus point in my book!
For mains, they have a good selection of pasta, grilled meats, and panini/sandwiches. The prices are quite reasonable I feel. Pasta is about EUR10-ish (depending on what comes with the pasta). I ordered Spaghetti al frutti di mare – seafood spaghetti. I highly recommend this to everyone!
Also – they were super fast. I was in and out in a jiffy – which was great because I was catching a train to Pisa.
When the food came out – I was all smiles! I finished everything. You know you had a great meal when you feel so content right after. Highly recommended!
