On 1 Jan 2022, HBO released Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts reunion show. I can’t believe it’s been 20 years.
Anyway, I love movie collectibles. I can’t call myself a collector yet, but I do own a few nice Harry Potter pieces. Thought I’d share some of the cool stuff that you can get out there. Even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, this list will probably be helpful – if you’re thinking about buying a birthday gift for one…
Every Harry Potter fan must have a wand! I have two myself…
“Curious indeed how these things happen. The wand chooses the wizard, remember…I think we must expect great things from you, Mr. Potter… After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things — terrible, yes, but great.” – Mr Ollivander of Ollivander’s Wand Shop in Diagon Alley
I went to Universal Studios in Los Angeles, and one of the attractions is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. I was amazed that so many kids (and adults) came to Universal Studios in their Hogwarts robes. You can buy direct from the official shop in the UK. The robes are cool. Slytherin has a green lining complete with its house badge, Hufflepuff, of course has yellow lining and so on. You can also get the robes customised with your kid’s (or your own!!!) name.
The Pandora collection is a great idea for the little (or big) Hermione in you! I love their collection Harry Potter collection. I bought the bracelet and charms for my daughter. They are gorgeous. The great thing about buying this for your little gal is that every birthday you can add a charm or two to add to the collection.
The Golden Snitch from Royal Selangor is from my personal collection. Lucky me, I got one. It seems they sold out in the first month they hit the store. Beautiful.
Another nice piece is the Goblet of Fire. Gorgeous. Yes, I have that too. Guilty.
My favourite from the Harry Potter series is the Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Castle.
I like this water bottle best – but do click on the link to check out backpacks and accessories in their Harry Potter collection. Their pyjamas are adorable too!
Love the bedding set from Marks & Spencer. The pyjamas are adorable too – available in various sizes for all ages.
Click here for Marks and Spencer site.
Images are from Marks and Spencer website.
Funko pops are fun gifts too. And some people are really into collecting them.
These are great ideas for family fun activities – click here to buy from stores like Mattel and Toys r us.
You can’t beat this one, of course.
Click here to check out my post on my trip to Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio!
Even if you’re not a fan, you will definitely enjoy visiting the studio, which features all the original film sets. I brought my daughter there – one of the highlights of our London trip!
I didn’t really go to Universal Studios for Harry Potter. But since I was there… It is not like the WB Studio in London, of course. If you want to get the whole Harry Potter experience – you definitely need to go to the London studio.
The Universal Studios version is more on thrill rides that kind of thing – it is a theme park, after all. But, you still get a chance to have a glass of butterbeer. Not my thing but you should at least try it once. And there’s all the cool merchandise that you can buy, wands, clothing, candies etc.
There are so many Harry Potter collectibles of all sorts out there; it’s just amazing. I’ve always loved the world of magic and witches and wizards etc. Hope you get some good ideas – have fun shopping!
